Calgary Dawgs and Mt. Royal College Team up for Dawgs’ Webcasts

Fans of the Calgary Dawgs should have no problem keeping tabs on their team this season. Thanks to a unique partnership between the baseball club and Mt. Royal College’s Centre for Communications’ Broadcasting Program, all Calgary Dawg home games will be broadcast live this season.

Fans will be able to listen to the games via streaming audio on www.teamline.cc. The broadcasts will include a 15-minute pre-game show and a post-game wrap-up. Broadcasts will start at 6:50 PM for evening games and 1:50 PM for matinees.

The broadcast team consists of Mt. Royal Broadcasting students Robert Bordeau, Grant Farhall, Chris McCallum, Matt Robertson, and Shane Struck.

Farhall says the crew is excited to get the season underway.

“The Dawgs play a very exciting brand of baseball. We appreciate the opportunity the Dawgs have given us and are looking forward to being a part of another great season at The Dawg Pound.”

The first broadcast on the season is scheduled for Thursday June 2nd vs. The Medicine Hat Mavericks. The pre-game show will start at 6:50 PM with first pitch scheduled for 7:05 PM.
