Dawgs in the Pros Update

Calgary Dawgs players now playing professional baseball keep getting it done at the next level. Here are only a few examples:

Jim “Himho” Henderson, currently a RHP with the Vermont Expos was named Extended Spring Training Pitcher of the Year by the Montreal Expos. Jim has followed that up with outstanding outings in the New York-Penn League earning a recent win and sporting a 2-0 record with a 1.17 ERA.

Calgary Dawgs hitting machine, 1st Baseman Grant Richardson hit a home run in his first professional at bat and is currently batting .444 in the early going with the Helena Brewers of the Pioneer League.

John Hurd, a RHP with the Kannapolis Intimidators (Single A affiliate of the Chicago White Sox) of the South Atlantic League, has posted an ERA of 3.63 with 17 strikeouts in 20 innings pitched.

Tanner Osberg, RHP with the 1st place Capital City Bombers (the Single A affiliate of the New York Mets) of the South Atlantic League, has posted a 5-3 record with 75.1 innings already pitched in the 2004 season.
